web host or looking for fortune-tellers

Hello,

I am calculating my business expenses, and have to take into account what I will pay my web host in 10, 20 or even 50 years time. I know there are no fortune-tellers working at Experts-exchange, but I want to know if prises per Mb are expected to go up or down in the future. Hard disks are getting cheaper nowadays and computers as well, but does this also apply to the rest of the equipment that is necessary for setting up a web hosting service?

Thanks,
Frank

You can expect web hosting to fall inline with what you'd be paying for cellular phones for one individual.

Cell phones are falling down into the same price range as regular phone lines, and so will web hosting.

The HIGHEST you should be paying for web hosting, would be $100 / month for basic setup & 10 e-mail address'. To register your domain name would be another $150-200 one time fee.

The amount you want to spend actually creating the site is up to you.  That you would have to figure into your advertising budget.  That could run you anywhere from $1k/yr for a basic site written by kids, or $100k for the bad ass corporate site.
