Deploying Jet..

I have a D3 Pro application that I need to deploy on a machine that does not current have JET installed.  Has anyone got this to work?  Where do I get a jet engine from (Legally) and what do I have to do to get it working?
I've switched the Application from the Native MSAccess to ODBC(MSAccess), and I Still Appear to have the same problem.

You'll have to buy the rights to distribute JET.
These rights come with the Office-Developers Edition.
(With installation instructions, i presume)

But what you can do also is:
Tell youre clients to buy and install MS-Office.
With the standard version (without MS-Access) they can install DAO (jet). (It's default not selected)

There is a way to install Jet manually, but i think you don't need
it if you are going the legal way.

Btw, let me know if you want the instuctions to install it yourself,
and which version of Jet you want to install. (DAO 3.5 ?)

I Found Info on how to deploy jet the other day.  Apparently the 4.51 BDE will install fine as long as jet is on the system FIRST,
Installing Jet after the BDE won't work though.

Cheers though;  good answer, have some points!
