"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes this can be done in NN with LiveConnect
(java script objects)
Netscape's LiveConnect feature allows you to use JavaScript
methods and objects so you can do it with
javascript window.open() method.
NN3,NN4,MIE4 only.
References Netscape packages:
http://home.netscape.com/eng/mozilla/3.0/handbook/javascript/packages.htm#1003191

example:
JSObject win = JSObject.getWindow(this);
win.eval("window.open('blah','blah','blah')");
