I have a large mailing list in PINE. When I type its alias name in the "To:" field, all email addresses from the list get displayed. How can I prevent this? Is there anything similar to a "Bcc" field available in other mail programs?

I don't think PINE can do a BCC.   You might wish to convert to
ELM, which can.

This accepted solution is incorrect.  To enable bcc in Pine you turn on rich headers by typing ctrl -R while in the COMPOSE field of Pine.  This will add BCC, LCC etc.
