  Use the STRUCT

typedef struct _TV_INSERTSTRUCT {
    HTREEITEM hParent;       // Node to add child too
    HTREEITEM hInsertAfter;  // Child node data
    TV_ITEM   item;
} TV_INSERTSTRUCT;

in the function

HTREEITEM InsertItem( LPTV_INSERTSTRUCT lpInsertStruct );

Hope this helps
