The easiest way that I have used is to copy the '.GDB' file onto a tape or catridge. This is particularly useful when I need to talk to two databases by just changing the path of the interbase data file in the alias.<br />

Hi, people! Ok, the comments are valid, but is not that I want. I need something that perform the following tasks:<br />

1- Compress the database (with data).<br />
2- Create a backup file in floppy, surely in severals volumes.<br />

I need make this programatically, preferently mantaining the transparency for the user.<br />
