System Detection services error!

After installing a new hard drive in my sons pentium 66, I then did a full restore from supplied restore disks. The problem IS- it won't find any plug n play devices. Doesn't go through standard win95 install. Bypasses system date and timezone entries. Then I went to do a corrective reinstall through dos, this error message kept poping up- ERROR SU995029 error in system detection services [OX13a5]. This would appear to me that the Bios is configured wrong somehow from Western Digital Hard drive install disk. Do you think?
Could not use find new hardware feature either. We can install programs alright, but modems, printers, scanners etc. are not found. The drive is a 4,0 gig and the old one was 550megs. Is the board too old to accept the new larger drive? purchased in Jan96. It split to drive into two partitions alright.

airbird, I think that problem is in HD type detected by BIOS. You
need to enter BIOS setup and force HD type to LBA, then repartition
and reformat it completely. Also, while in BIOS, go to PnP/PCI
configuration and check PNP config reset (or smth. like this) must
be disabled. I assume that Master/Slave configuration OK for both
HDs (in other case you couldn't access it).

Hope this helps.
