Is there a way to use Java to send out an email message, possibly with an attachment using the HTTP protocol?
Please provide the source code to do so.

I think that there is an email API coming with Java 1.2 if you are developing an application.

It is probably quite hard to implement for Java 1.0 compatible applets and in that case you would probably benefit from a look at Javascript.

It is very simple to do through SMTP protocol. Would that be good enough for you?
