I do not intend to flame but I have to say that both 1. and 2. are not just completely wrong - it is a rubbish.
Pascal was carefully planned, designed and formally defined in 1970 by Prof. Ni on the basis of Algol (1960) - the very first language for structured programming. [1]
"C was first designed by Dennis Ritchie for use with UNIX on DEC PDP-11 computers. The language evolved from Martin Richard's BCPL, and one of its earlier forms was the B language, which was written by Ken Thompson for the DEC PDP-7. The first book on C was The C Programming Language by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, published in 1978." - from "Unix Unleashed" book [2]

1.  Fisrt , Pascal was written from assambly.
After that  next version of Pascal was written from old version of Pascal.
2.  C came first.  C is classic language.
     But Pascal is clean language.
