I have written a VB 5.0 app for a client, that uses DAO for an access 95 database.  The users at this client don't have access 95 installed on their machines.

I used the VB install wizard that comes with VB 5 professional to create a set up program.  When I installed the application I got a run time error
'Class not registered {00000010-0000-0010-8000-00AA006d2ea4}.  I looked in the registry on my machine and this address points to dao320.dll.  This dll was not installed on the client's machine.  I created a new set up program with the file dao320.dll included in the set up program.  Uninstalled my app on the client machine then reinstalled my app.  Still no luck.  I also tried to hand register the dll with regedit, no luck.

Can anyone help me with a next step or solution?

There could be a number of reasons

Do you mean dao350.dll ?

I haven't heard of this problem before.  What else does your project contain?

The UTILITY Regsrv32.exe should work for a manual registration or at least give an indication of the problem (It ships on the VB CD

The install utility which shipped with VB5 contained a number of errors. Most of these appear to have been fixed with SERVICE PACK 3.

The use of REGEDIT is NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED for the registration of a dll.
