There are several ways to do this.

This easiest (that I've found) goes like this (of the top of
my head so if there are syntax errors, please excuse)

F = freefile()
Open "lpt1" for write as #F
Print #F, CHR(--);CHR(--);CHR(--)
close #F

I used this in a barcoding procedure and it's been working wonderfully for
almost a year (in ver 2.0 and ver 97)
