q-1 . I want to find screen resolution through applet ?
q-2.  I want to find a executable file on client machine if not found then down load from
        server and execute it. Everything should be done through applet.

Answer for question 1:  You can get the screen resolution via a toolkit function call.

Dimension d=Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize();

As for question 2, a regular untrusted applet cannot access local storage for any purpose, either read or write. To do the kind of things you describe it would either have to be a trusted applet, or the browsers safeguards would have to be overridden.
