getting pixels from a PICT file

i'm new to the macintosh!

i'm trying to get some pixel/bitmap info from a mac PICT file. so that i can save this as a windows :) bitmap or a JPEG etc.

how can i do this?

Well, all I can think of is load the PICT, draw it into a GWorld, and then use GetCPixel to retrieve each pixel, or access the buffer directly (NOT recommended).

thanks for the response. i've solved it now though! i drew the pict into a GWorld then you can get access to all the pixels as you said.
