I downloaded Personal Web Server (version 4) from MicroSoft, but setup does not allow installation, it insists on telling me :
"Setup has detected that you don't have TCP/IP installed. This option cannot be installed as a result."
My machine is not connected to any network thou, but i do have TCP/IP drivers installed.
What's wrong, have i forgot something...?

Try to uninstall and re-install the TCP/IP protocol.
Also make sure that this protocol is bound to some device like your modem or network card.

If you don't have any adapter. Simply, select the "MS Loopback adapter" when installing TCP/IP.

That's fine....
But if you have a modem, you can use that with the "Dial Up Adapter".
