does anyone know where i can a find a version of jdk that will work on win 3x?

IBM made their own port of JDK 1.0.2 to Windows 3.x. It is available at:

http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/formula

just follow the path to ADK and download it. I haven't tried it though. It must be awfully slow  :-(
