CRecordset::GetFieldValue on Oracle's Long Column

My program downloads data from a remote Oracle database server via the ODBC.  It works fine for all other
datatype except for Oracle's "LONG" datatype...  By looking at the data, this field can be as long as 3-4
paragraphs.  So my problem is everytime GetFieldValue hits this field, it throws an exception.  The exception is
"Invalid string or buffer length."
Anybody know what's going on??  Any suggestion is appreciated..

This is probably a long binary, so you are trying to put one kind of data into a diferent format.  See if changing the data type doesn't help you.
