Solaris 2.5 password change
I am currently running a Solaris 2.5 mail server and using Netscape as the main browser to get the mail unfortunatly Netscape does not allow a Unix password change. Can you recommend a software package that can help in the changing of passwords?

This still doesn't answer my question. I do not want to have to go in and change the password myself or allow the users to telnet in and change their passwords. I want a front end app to expire their password through netscape or microsoft outlook.

"I want a front end app to expire their password through netscape or microsoft outlook." -- What do you mean by this?
I know something that you usually they do not let you change the password in Unix through a browser. That can be done through a browser and this is true but the CGI script which is going to do the change should have superuser authority. This means that the "nobody" that usually runs the script has extreme power. This is very dangerous and I have not seen yet a script such as this one running out there. They do have another method. What they do is that they secure a directory and you submit the password change in a simple file and later lets say after 3-4 hours the system administrator change that for you by reading what you submitted(your new passwd). If you want to change it instantly I think the only way that today exist is the telnet.
Outlook 97/98 does not have any authority at all in changing passwords in Solaris as far as I know.
Another question. Are you a user and you want to change the password for yourself or you own a Solaris and want to manage the users passwords?
Please be more specific...
