Rotating Ad Banner System: WHich To Get?

I would like to incorporate rotating banners into my webpages. Those Javascript routines and cookies don't appealk to me too much since users can shut them off and/or get nag screens.

Can you tell me any GREAT to ACCEPTABLE Rotating Banner Systems available in C and/or Perl and that range from free to affordable to expensive w/demo?  Whatever you think are acceptable systems for me to check out.

I have noticed on some sites like Persian Kitty (www.persiankitty.com), they're able to insert a system that doesn't appear to use SSI, Cookies, or Javascript. Very interesting; a unique hyperlink appears with a unique image on every reload still.

I'd be GREATLY APPRECIATIVE for any help you can provide me!

Thank you very much.

From what you tell me, you're looking for something relatively simple that it's harder for the user to turn off. Ie, uses only CGI and SSI. No Java, JavaScript, Cookies, or any of that. You have two or three options:

1. Look around for a system. But they're getting harder to find if you want ONLY CGI.

2. Have somebody write you a custom system to your specifications. I can do so.

WileyKat, what do you mean by: they're getting harder to find if you want ONLY CGI

Do the systems have a different method of obtaining the graphics + hyperlink? Please tell.

I mean that some of today's better banner systems are more complex, because they want it to look SUPREMELY good. To do so, they have use JavaScript, Java, CGI, SSI, and all that combined to get the effect they want. A plain CGI system is actually harder to find now, although they are still out there.
