can't dial internet with programs;ie oil change

why can't i dial direct to the internet when i use the programs that try but keep telling me my user name and password are invalid. i have aol and can never get an answer from them (on anything)
i know change to something else (sarcastic remark)

Not enough info. What programs are you refering to? Are you trying to access the Internet through an ISP? I am very confused as to what the question is.

First, you should make sure that you have a valid account with AOL; you must contact them and determine this because it sounds like a problem with AOL, not software or hardware.
