Create ODBC that is DSN (Data Source Name) for BTRIEVE from Control Panel / ODBC or ODBC Painter from PB , fox ex test is the DSN.

From PB

sqlca.dbms = "odbc"
sqlca.dbparm = "connectstring='DSN=test'"
connect;

if sqlca.sqlcode <> -1 then
//Error
messagebox('sqlerrtext',sqlca.sqlerrtext)
else
//Success
end if
