Exchange or Outlook Client is very slow with Windows 3.x.
I suggest that you install Outlook Web-Access on your Exchange Server and setup your clients with a normal Dial In Network.
After doing this, you can access WebAccess with any Browser, the performance is much better then with the standard Exchange/Outlook client.
And you have the nessacery funktion for your system.

Outlook Web Access is delivered with Exchange Server 5.5.
You need a Internet Information Server 3.0 or above installed on your system.
And you need the Active Server Pages installed (aviable from Microsoft download)
If you have allredy installed a Web Browser for use with citrix, you have not to install anytheng else.
You can retrive information from your exchange Server with the URL Servername/exchange
