X on a Laptop Dell XPI

Hello - I am having much fun trying to get X to work on a Laptop Dell XPI CD (P166)

Evedently the video is a big secret, a NeoGraphics chip whic I downloaded the Server from http://www.mnsinc.com/js/Neomagic.html.  But I'm still having no luck and all the standard help programs is not working.  The X server starts and just freezes the screen.  I can get to Virtual Concil 6 and kill it off, and Control F7 seems to have an "echo" of the server.  When I kill the server, it says something about the fonts and the display 0:0

Did anyone get this to work?

Do you use any funny scripts when you starts the x-server??
What happens when you types the name of the xserver (like /usr/bin/X-server-name)??
Do you have any .xserverrc or .Xresources or .xinitrc in you home directory??

Finally can you send the xserver output to the question??
