POV-Ray Resources

I just got into POV-Ray programming.  I am looking for good internet POV-Ray resources, but in paticular ones on drawing people, animals, and buildings.  Also, how do you make half spheres in POV-Ray

Try
http://www.povray.org
or
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Way/9403/frames.html
Or search on Yahoo for povray.

to get a half sphere you would have to slice a full sphere in half using another object, if the other object is transparent then you would only see your half sphere.

Your comment on making a half sphere worked, but I already saw the POV-Ray page and the other page was just very pretty pictures in POV-Ray.

OK - here's some more

- a short list
http://quark.vpplus.com/~redbeard/raytrace/POVRay-Util.html

- a longer list
http://www.eleceng.adelaide.edu.au/Personal/kto/raytrace.html

- an even longer list (with www addresses, but no hyperlinks)
http://www.the-spa.com/shawn.fumo/povutils/ (especially part 2 of the list)

I would try the last one first, things take a bit longer to find in the lists, but they are quite comprehensive (it even has a section on people!).
