I'm looking for a tree and list view activex control(s) that lets me list files and tree's on a web page, and scroll through them.  Does anyone have a good one - commercial or free?  Its gota work and be like the windows explorer with controlling the root and icon view from VBScript with something like TreeControl.IconView=1 or something.

I tried compiling the foldertreeview CCRP(http://www.mvps.org/ccrp/) tree
and list view as an activex control but it wouldn't compile.

Anyone?

Scottg,

You can try downloading this ActiveX control from Rhino Software at http://www.rhinosoft.com/RhinoSoft/index.htm. Unfortunately, it only mimics the treeview of the Windows Explorer (showing both folders and files)but I believe it can be used to allow for a listview with some programming.  Otherwise, you might try looking at microsoft's sample code of an FTP client program using the WinInet API, Q175179.  This program also only mimics the treeview half of the Windows Explorer but I know from experience that it can be modified to work with a listview control.  Naturally, this second option requires more work (reprogramming and turning it into an OCX) but it's cheaper.
