Samples and Documentation

Hello:

I need to use Microsoft Word 97 as a OLE automation server in my Visual C++ application. but I can not find any sample or documentation  for it ( all of the samples and documentation I found was for Visual Basic). So please tell me where I can find some sample code or documentation.

Thanks

Hi again jinsong!

Here are a few places that will help...

1. On MSDN you can find several articles using the following search: "word automation"

This search will result in the Word automation whitepaper and numerous KB articles that documents how to do different things with the Word automation objects

2. Searching through www.dejanews.com on exactly what you want to do with Word will yield several good hits as well. This is the only way I found out how to use the Access Automation objects without buying the kit described below.

3. In order to get the full documentation and list of higher-level Office Automation objects you will need to order the Microsoft Solutions Development Kit. KB article Q153537 will show you how to order the toolkit that comes with documentation on ALL the office automation objects.

Lemme know if you need any more help,
Tom
