I purchased magikit (very nice buttons and labels) a while ago.  I can't seem to find any trace of the company. If the company does not exist anymore I will try to find equivalent components:

Matvey: You mentioned in an earlier question that you had some nice buttons.  Any chance of getting them.  Thank you. My email address is ymailhot@magma.ca.

Label with very nice shadow (better than TLabelEffect)
Button with gradient and with appearance
that changes when on top of it with mouse.

      Suggestions ?

For MagiKit try A.I.T. Films Ltd.

many of the sites that search engines list seem to have disappeared but this one still works.

Alternatively you might like to look at Component Create an evaluation copy can be downmloaded at http://www.compcreate.com/

Finally a reasonably long list of delphi related links can be found at http://www.personal.u-net.com/~dla/delphi.htm

Hi,
I'm trying to keep trace of good components, which includes buttons of course.

So far:

The best type of buttons, I think, are that have bitmap image for each state (up, down, mouse-over):

http://www.lawrenz.com/coolform/    --CoolForm, includes two very cool components: a component that shapes a form by a bitmap and a similar component for buttons.
This one should do the best, though you can find some more like in Delphi pages like torry.rimini.com/
  -FREEWARE (they call it beerware)

another one with that principal is http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/noshape.zip

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/skbtn.zip
  A quote from the site:
"Contains two components: one decsended from TButton, the other decsended from TBltBtn. What they do is allow you to place other controls on them (TLabel, TImage etc.)"
-very useful, in my opinion, -you can place a 3D label on it of the ones you find in dozens on every site...

There is a very cool and functional SHAREWARE button: http://www.opaquesoftware.com/download/delphi/oxbtns.exe

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/actbtn.zip
TActBtn is a button which actively changes its Glyph when the mouse is moved over it.

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/btchkbox.zip
"This is a VCL component that behaves almost exactly like the TCheckBox component except it allows you to use images for each state."

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/sbutton.zip
"BitBtn and SpeedButton with 3D Caption. "

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/torrybtn.zip
"Torry's Button is transparent speedbutton that looks like common label until you don't move mouse cursor over it. Also it has "Led-like" indicator that has different colors for different button's states. Now Led can have different size and 3d effects. "

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/coolbtn2.zip
"By Geert Vos. The buttons which looks like TLabel, but with a shadow and ability to to raise when mouse rolls over it. "

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/spledbtn.zip
"Button with LED, 3D Caption and play Wav files or system sound when clicked."

Gradient:

  http://torry.rimini.com/vcl/buttons/gradbutt.zip
"Gradient filled button, six gradient styles to choose from. Looks great in 16 or 24 bit colors. This update adds accelerator key functionality, Focus indicator, and two new events: OnMouseEnter and OnMouseLeave."

  http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d20free/gradbtn.zip
  -the same

Other:

   http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d10free/borbtn.zip
"Borland Style Checkbox and Radio Button"

   http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d20free/cmb13uf.zip
"TCMBtn is a button like in MS Internet Explorer 3.0. Many advantages over similar components (ALT-F4 works, HelpContext, automatic glyph creation, caption with accel char, works on TPanel...). Demo-exe; "

   http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d10free/comps.zip
"Three Components - Includes a Glass Button"

  http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d20free/tcjmbut.zip
"TCJMagicButton compponent is an awesome new speedbar button. It's very much like the one used in MS IE3"

-is it the one you're using?

  http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d20free/glscene3.zip
"If you ever wanted a component to create real 3D scenes or (even animated) 3D images on buttons etc. have a look at GLScene. Included are full source code, a help file and 4 samples. It uses OpenGL as basis and is free! (ver. 0.3.2, added 7/3/97, This component is freeware, not public domain. The copyright remains by the author Mike Lischke.)"

  http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d10free/davebutt.zip
"very nice button (makes your applications attractive!!)"

  http://members.aol.com/kaosrhei/bi_lib.zip
"A collection of 18 components, including: TBI_Button : An IE / Office 97 button, with accelerator char support, dropdown menus, grayed glyphs etc. TBI_PlasmaButton: like TBI_Button, but filled with a plasma fractal..."

and the last but not the least:

  http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/delphi/ftp/d10free/hembtn_3.zip
"This component implements an elliptical button with a hemispherical surface. The surface is rendered only at design time, the images are stored persistent with the application. Properties and events close to TSpeedButton (incl. glyphs, groups..)"

I'm sorry I give you such a long list, but I post them because they all deserve a look and best of all they're all FREEWARE.

Good luck!
