-3102 noMPPErr No MPP error
error number -3201 is not recognized

-3102 noMPPErr No MPP error
This error means that the program (SMS 1.2) cannot find the MPP.
The MPP is probably hardware. Either it has been reported as missing because the programmers did not follow Apple Guidelines for programming or you are trying to run the program on a machine that does not have an MPP or both. Has the SMS program ever run on the computer you are attempting to run it on or did you upgrade your computer AND receive a new MacOS as part of the deal?

-good luck

Hello,

Error 3201 with SMS 1.2 means that your TCP/IP is set to load only when neccesary. That gives an error, and MS is working on the fix. You can
a. wait for service pack 4 for the fix
b. get a hotfix, which I had no luck locating - it is 162,975 Invmac.mac
c. change the tcp/ip setting on the mac so that TCP/IP is loaded all the time:
     - Open TCP/IP control panel
     - Apple-U to change the mode to ADVANCED
     - Click OPTIONS...
     - Unclick "Load Only When Needed"
     - close / save the TCP/IP setting.

Then you will HAVE TO REBOOT , and the inventory should work fine. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Keep in mind that there are still quite a few problems with OS8.1 and SMS 1.2 that are not related to the error you are getting. Once you fix this -3201 problem you will (I hope) be able to run SMS on the mac, but it still might not inventory properly, due to some other issues...
