i have got a video card with chip : from cirrus  : cirrus 5664  ( dayatona )  i couldnt find a driver for it when i configured xfree86 for linux slackware release 2.0.x  ... so i had to be contend with the generic vga driver

do anyone of you know where to get the driver or have you got driver for it .. this chip has got some 3d enhancement features etc.. does any other release have a driver to it .. please tell me to how to get the driver software alone from the linux  sites  and how to include it so that xfreeconfig  can in corporate that too in its menu or something ...
is their a generic SVGA driver if there is please be kind enough to tell me ..

I'm afraid it's still not supported, but you can read and find related information at /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/doc/README.cirrus

aditionally, have a look at http://www.xfree86.org/ forlatest information and maybe contact info...

Any way older cirrus drivers have support under XF86_SVGA, which you should have with your distribution...

Good luck,
