resize control

We are using Larcom and Young resize control (http://www.lyoung.com ). When you resize a form, it scales the fonts and resizes all the controls. The problem I'm having is that the control takes too much time to resize. It is causing the controls to flicker, etc.

I want to also mention that we are using the FarPoint Spread control on these forms.  Is there anyone out there that can tell me how to overcome this problem?

One technique is hide the subject controls during the resizing, and to unhide them when resizing ends.  The root cause of the problem is that your third party controls are often made up of many smaller controls, such that your resizing algorithm must handle many more .move methods that your really expect.

A long term solution is to always look for more efficient third party controls.

I have found those from Videosoft to be relatively efficient and fast there resizing tool is VSFlex, but it does not attempt to rescale the fonts, which is a difficult and somewhat risky proposition under Windows anyway.
