HP LJet 5L Not Printing Tables Well

Our LaserJet 5L seems to get perplexed printing out complex tables from Word 97.  It'll spew out
some ascii characters and start misaligning the text from the tables.  I tried setting resolution down to
300 dpi.  But problems still exist.  Any recommendations?

Try to use an hp 3 driver instead of pcl driver and see what happens.

Excellent.  Worked like a champ.  That 5L driver is a loser.  I actually used an HP IV
driver and that fixed it.  Thanks.

There is one draw back to doing so, you will only get 300dpi out of printer max with this driver.

The same problems occur for a laserjet 6p  with win98
