Thanks for the help, I have one more small question.  I tried to open another file, besides excel, such as access or notepad, I shows the file open then it closes it or leaves it invisible, do you have any suggestions, to make it visible, I use the show or shownormal, it doesnot help.

Try SW_SHOWDEFAULT.  I've never had that problem, so if it persists, I'll have to do some research on it.
