Direct X 5.0

After I've installed the Virtual Cop2, the software asked me to install the DirectX5.0 and upgrade my sound blaster version.  After all the installation have been completed, I have to restart the computer, then the computer shows that there is an "msrgrv" error.  I can't start the Windows 95 normally and can't log onto the internet again.  I try to erase the directx5.0 and the game, but the error still exsists there.  When the computer was erasing the game, it shows that if the game has been erased, there would be some changes to the system.  Should I erase the Window95 and reinstall it again?  Or is there any simple method?

Firts of all take RegClean from Microsoft and run it. Seem that you
have registry problems. (search www.softseek.com for it). Second,
uninstallation of DirectX 5 is not so simple task. It's lengthy
process (I can put it upon request). Third, during installation of
DirectX 5 NEVER give it "update" your video card driver. Use last
version from manufacturer's site instead.

Thank you for your answer.

I have solved the problem last night by running add/remove program in Window.
