Errors using IBM Anti-Virus with Win98

Problems began when I got an unexpected error code 18 when scanning the hard drive.  So I decided to reinstall the program since I had upgraded to Win98.  It won't install claiming that it cannot read the master boot record.

according to this link at Microsoft's Tech support page, you need to Contact IBM and get a new update from them.
