How do I make a window dockable under vb5.0 (sp3)?

If you're talking about making the IDE similar to 3.0 and 4.0 then do the following.

On the menu select Tools:Options:Advanced. Checking 'SDI Devel. Environment' will give you the 3.0/4.0 IDE, unchecking docks the windows (default for 5.0). Also, under Tools:Options:Docking you can check which windos you want docked.

sorry, thats not what i meant.

i've got an mdi app and i want the child forms (MDIChild property = TRUE) to dock when i run the app.

that any clearer?

Set the border child forms border style to 0 (None - this will stop the user being able to move the form by draggin the caption bar) and then .Move the form in code.

E.g. To Dock it at the top you would do:

frmChild. Move 0,0,frmChild.Parent.ScaleWidth, frmChild.Height

Be sure to include some mechanism to allow the user to "Undock" it.
