scsi cdrom boot disk

I recently installed a Teac 16x Cdrom drive in my PC and was wondering how to access it though DOS. Its attached to an Iomega Jazjet pci scsi card.

You need the correct device drivers for your SCSI card and your CDROM.

Your Config.sys needs to look like the following:

device=a:\himem.sys
device=a:\emm386.exe
device=a:\aspi8dos.sys /d
device=a:\aspicd.sys /d:cdrom1

Your autoexec.bat needs to look like the following:

a:mscdex.exe /d:cdrom1

The file aspi8dos.sys is an example of the driver for your SCSI card, while aspicd.sys is an example of the driver for your CDROM.

You need all the files mentioned in both the config.sys and autoexec.bat on a bootable floppy, as well as edit.com, format.exe, fdisk.exe, and scandisk.exe to be safe.
