In Delphi 3 I want to read in TIF-Files and then print them.
But i don't know the structure of TIF-Files. And i found no
delphi-object like Tbitmap for TIF-Files.
i do not want to convert the TIF-Files in BMP-Files before the BMP-Files are rather large (about factor 10).

Has someone an idea ?

well, there are components whith .Tiff format :

torry.rimini.com/vcl/graphics/fvimage.zip (freeware)

and two shareware :

 torry.rimini.com/vcl/graphics/instw33d.exe
 torry.rimini.com/vcl/graphics/imwt32d.exe

 but expensive...

Another way go to this url to find the format and make the component yourself:

http://www.wotsit.org/

search for tif or tiff and you find about 5 explenations.

This seems to me rather complex.
I was looking for an easier way, - but you will have the points.
