Office 97 printer problems in NETWARE 4.10

Hi

We are running Novell Netware 4.10(DS) on our lan, and we are using Office 97 Professional.
When a user wants to print from Word 97, a error occurs with the printer dialogue box "Word cannot change printers. No printers installed" or it doesn't even show the printers. Also if it does work then it only allows the users to print the entire document not selected pages. We downloaded the service pack for office but to no avail. In wordpad and notepad the printers are fine!!!!

Weird
Please help.

i can help lead you through this, but I really don't know how your network is setup and where the printers are, so if things get too complicated, you should contact your Network Administrator....

Anyway-- if this is a network printer you are trying to print to, you must make sure you are logged in to the network and you have rights to use that printer.  Next, go to the Network Neighborhood and doubleclick on it.

A listing of servers will appear.  Double click on the server where the printer is connected to.  A network printer is assigned to a server.  Once you choose the server, you will see folders and a listing of printer icons.  The printer you wish to print to must be there.  If you cannot find it anywhere, contact your NA-- he must not have it connected to the network or the network card in it might be having problems.

Once you find it, simply double-click on it.  It will begin to install the printer driver on your pc, so it will show up in your printer listings.  Simply follow the setup wizard.  When you are prompted to choose the type of printer, select that info from the list.  If it is not on the list or you are asked for a disk, you must contact your NA to get the drivers.

the printer will be added to your printer list on your pc and is only available when your logged into the network...

It might also be necessary to Capture the Printer Port-- but your Network administrator ought to do this so they can tweak a few settings...
