l use a server called pipex dial. it loads outlook express, l think a reduced version, for e-mail. 98 comes with ms outlook. how do l configure, so that l can run pipex from outlook as well as express?

Dibs, when you install Outlook '98, it will detect Outlook express, and bring over your old Outlook Express mail for you.  If it did not do this for you, see the File|Import and Export... menu option to do it manually.  You'll then have to move over to the new Outlook '98 - but that's cool, it does everything express did, and more.
