CTL3DV2.DLL

What does CTL3DV2.DLL do, and why do I get error messages
about wrongly installed CTL3DV2.DLL in windows\system-
catalog, when the file is there?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi jlove1!
I´m gonna try your way to solve this,
but it would help a lot if you could remember,
where you found the keys!
I tried to look in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOKAL_MACHINE
but I didn´t find any mentions of ctl3dv2.dll

I don't know exactly what ctl3dv2.dll does, but it is located in the root directory and some older 3rd party software tends to load a different version of it.  The file should be 27,632 bytes in size and have the date 11/30/94.  If your version is different, rename the old file and expand this file from the setup cd.
Hope this helps.
Sorry, it is not loaded in the root directory, it should be located in \windows\system and or \windows\system32.... sorry for the confusion.
