Hi there.

I will like to know how I send a file, any kind, streamed, over the net.
I got a ~4 MB file, MP3, and want to send it to a client in the other end, but need to know about simple datatransmitting in VB5. What controls do I need, do you have any source examples, etc.
Thank you

Is FTP a possibility, I have used this quite a bit and it seems to work fine for me.  Or is FTP not an option here.  Also why would one use SMTP to do this, that is for mail.

Free Tool: ZipGrep

ZipGrep is a utility that can list and search zip (.war, .ear, .jar, etc) archives for text patterns, without the need to extract the archive's contents.

In VB5 Enterprise and Professional thers is the I-Net transfer control which supports FTP data transfers, to use it take a look at the control's help (there is some sample code).

Have fun.

FTP might be an option, as said, all i want to do is stream a MP3 module from my server, to some client in the other end. So FTP might be the right one. (Or Winsock, or anything else that works)
