The brightness of my monitor is decreasing with time. It's much less brighter now than 2/3 yrs ago. Is there a way to
clean it by opening it up? How is it done ? Or do I have to go for a new monitor. BTW, My monitor does not have Gamma control switch at the back like some....

According to symptoms ... go for new monitor. Your monitor's tube
is going to die. Some displays have regulators inside, allowing
to change voltage on beams (r,g,b). But it's not recommended for
non-technician to play with them. You can simply burn your display.
There is nothing to clean.
