PersonX,

You can play a soundless avi file using animation control (Microsoft common controls(2.5)) or using an MCI device (Multimedia control) an avi file with sound.

If you want more detailed code, write me at

regards,

Hi PersonX,
Just to add to what minaxi has stated, the Animation control can display only uncompressed.avi files or .avi files that have been compressed using Run-Length Encoding (RLE).

Sincerely,
Jason
