Hi All,

Can you tell me how can I install the BDE whitout using
Install Shield? I'd like to use another setup builder programm, but I have to install the BDE too. Can anyone
tell which files, dlls have I got to install and where,
what do I have to write into the Registry and where?

Thanks in advance

With the Delphi2 package the BDE came as a separate install file (2 discs). Try using that, I'm sure you can find them, if not on your Delphi CD then maby at borland.com (inprise.com). When you run you'r install sofware execute this install program first.

The only way to install the BDE without INSTALLSHIELD before
BDE 4.51 is to install this directly from the CDROM of
DELPHI.
Then you see the registry modification and you can specify
the directory for the BDE.
For the BDE 4.51 you can download this and install without
INSTALLSHIELD.
So long.
