What are the specific files to be distributed with Cliendataset component(Delphi 3) and where is the help topics available for this. When I installed an application in a target machine in which clientdataset was used and I kept on getting errors about some missing files when I tried installing the application.I am only aware of installing BDE while distributing applications with database components like Table, query etc.

This is being asked a second time since no one answered it the first time, probably because I offered it only 10 points(I am new to this game).I am upping it to 50 Points.Any takers?

Hi,

all you need on the client side is your application and DBCLIENT.DLL in the system directory (windows\system, winnt\system32 or whatever). I was not able to find this covered in the online help, but it must be there ...

Cheers -- Thomy.
