installing an application

i made an application that use databases, when i try to run on another computer, i had a message that says "An error ocurred while attentimp to initialize the Borland Database Engine (error $2109)"

the cuestion is :  need i to copy more files to another computer ?

how can i make an intallation program that make it by itself ?

can i run this application on Windows 3.11 ?

Hi gmuro,

1. If you use a database you've to distribute the BDE engine too. See deploy.txt for more information on your Delphi CD. BDE engine is available as a redistributible files. (also on your delphi CD).
For easy installation use install shield or another installation program. Install shield, available on your cd -> this version only allows to install on win 32bit (not windows 3.11). For installing on Win 3.11 see freeware program at : http://www.connect.net/jordanr/

2. Delphi programs made in DELPHI 1.0 work on a 16bit environment. For D2-3-4 programs this isn't directly true. It's almost impossible. For 16bit applications USE Delphi 1.0 (also on every Delphi CD)
