CAD workstation - suggestions needed

Greetings all,
I am doing research on CAD workstations(including the computer). I am responsible for giving suggestions to my boss as to which CAD workstation would give us the biggest band for the buck. We are using AutoCad R14 for Win95, and have always just loaded it onto a desktop in our dept. The workstation needs will be connected to our network(NT, TCP/IP). Unfortunately, I was told about this project this morning(friday) and I've got to have suggestions in by tonight. Budget due on Monday.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

darrell,
Go here for a list of websites to workstation & server suppliers:

I hope it helps.

patedm,

It is customary to provide a solution for the questioner here at EE when you submit an answer.

Much confusion can be eliminated for newcomers here if you post remarks using the "submit a comment" button instead of proposing them as "answers".

Ralph

Ralph, thanks for the comment

patedm, thanks for the input, if I quit my job because of knee-jerk reactions and short time intervals, I'd have to quit the telecommunications business.
Sorry, I just call them the way I see them.  Not all problems can be solved with a simply technical approach. Technically something as important as this cannot be investigated or priced properly given the impossible time frame. There be no proper answer.  Let me know how to give those points back.
It's not possible to change the awarding of points after the answer has been accepted.

That's the "confusion" that I was referring to above.  Newcomers to the site often don't realize how to reopen a question.  Instead, they mistakenly grade it.

Deep down you agree with me though right?
Could I post a qustion for the same points and have darrel answer it?
