mmsystem266 error

When i try to load creative labs dvd player software i get mmsystem266 driver missing. I have tried all file that shadowray talks about but still no joy.
Any help whould be great thanks

I found a link that has the same error, but with a different brand DVD. You might look at the list of possible causes and see if they might apply towards your system.
