I have a TP 755C with a  non-working backlight.

What is the minimum cost fix?

Can you tell me where in the UK i can get the necessary parts?

Thank you.

John,

Am I right in presuming that warranty has expired?

Not very nice pricing. as far as I can tell, IBM doesn't just sell the backlight. You could try to get one from some other store that's got a bunch sitting around. Price from my company would be $1,070, that's the english model with Contrast and Brightness, non-exchange pricing. It's usually better to buy yourself a new laptop then to replace the lcd. That's assuming it's not under warranty. If it is under warranty, free + shipping.
