system tray icon

i would like to execute my program in the system tray
what is the command / property or api to accomplish this
task - and when pressing with a mouse on my tray's icon
a menu is opened for several task on my project
like any system tray application!!!

Although there are ways to do this with lots of API calls, I tend to feel that there is no reason to re-invent the wheel...
