My applet Deb.java is running well in appletviewer and internet explorer. But it is not running in netscape (for windows and silicon graphics). It is giving the following error :

Applet Deb can't start:error:java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:java.awt.Choice add(Ljava/lang/String;)V not found.

Please advise.

1) If possible, upgrade to a later version of Navigator or better still, Communicator 4.05 professional (If its available for Silicon Graphics). The problem is a bug in the older Communicators and Navigators (even 4.05 standard)

2) Down load the patch for Netsacpe Navigator from the Netscape website and install it. It will solve your problems

3) Or... get HotJava from SUN Microsystems.Least attractive option as it is slow. But still the one that works best!

i'll pick No.2 if your download speed is slow and No.1 if your download speed is fast

This is ok. But, I have to use Netscape Communicator 4.07 in IRIX because of EAI. Netscape 4.05 does not support the EAI. Is there any patch for Netscape Communicator 4.07?
